2004 IQR wiring

I have the shop manual, and have put in both harnesses new.

I have juice to run the sled, turn on the digitron but thats it.

For those who have digitrons on their sled, what are you using for tach pick up? right now, my rpm gauge goes up to 3500rpm (apx) and stops.

Also, what wire do you use for 12V to run a headlight? I can't seem to find one, will the heated grip wiring work?

Please help! as soon as I get these last two nagging things done, I can button her up for the snow!

Contact F-bomb on the forums here... He shold be able to set you up quickly... He's one of the best in the bus with the Digitrons

You guys are terrible!

What they're saying is that the IQr wasn't made until 05. There is no 04 IQr.

On the 05's you would run both the digitron and the headlight off of yellow (+) and brown for the ground.

That works for the headlight right at the bars.

For the tach I went down to the yellow wires coming off of the stator, before the regulator. Then ran the ground directly to the engine block.
