07 M8 Clutching

I know there has been ton's of posts on this. So I'm sorry for bringing it up again. I did a search on it and it kind of answered my questions. I know Geo had a great post on this last year. But I can't get into the old forums. First off, Where is the true sweet spot? Does it start at 7400 or 7500? Most of my elevation is at 9,000 + ft. SO with stock clutch springs in both drive and driven clutch am I going to be okay running 70 gram weights or should I go heavier. I've got a snopro with the 153 on it. I know everybody is getting sick of hearing this but I have 70 gram weights and it would be nice if these would work so I don't have to drop the money on heavier ones. Maybe the cutler adjustable weights are the answer. I don't know, any input would be great.

I'd try the 70's if you already have them, should be close. I run mine at 7500-7600 RPM.

riding 10k-13k with an RKT head, RKT secondary I ended up at 68.75 & love it. When I go to areas around 9k I add .5 grams (69.25), I have yet to run 70's & have it work around 9k. (riding Rabbit Ears, Steamboat, CO)

I know the cutler adjustables are expensive, but they're worth the $$, no more guessing.

BCIL, that's with an orange/white AC spring, right? I've found with the yellow/white spring that a little closer to 68 works well. Personal preference for a lower engagement (y/w=122/285, o/w=143/290). 7600 RPM

On my '07 162 M8, I went to 70 gram light tip Cat weights about mid season last year. It consistantly ran +-7600 on the stock tach (not calibrated). All other clutching I kept as Cat sent it out. I usually unload around 10,000'. I'm not overly excited with the normal track speed of approx. 37-38mph in a climb, but I never blew a belt or had belt heating issues either. I won't pretend to know a lot about clutching, but I've been pretty pleased with my 70 grams.
