Well, I lost the motor on my o7 d7 and polaris wouldnt warranty it because i had a pipe on it. I just happen to have a Carl's 910 sitting here so i'm going to put it in. i'm also going to install a 162 3.0 camo extreme and better boards.
Here is what i'm starting with.

small snag

I just ran into a small snag in the build. I was hoping to use a fuel pickup off of an 06 600 carb sled but the hole size in the fuel tank is different. Any ideas on the best route to take. I can either 1) pull all the electric fuel pump stuff out and run an old style hose and filter to the back of the tank or 2) figure out a way to make the new style pickups work if its possible. Has anyone tried this?

parts are in

well, I got a call today and more parts are in. I should have almst everything here. The better boards are installed. I need to pick up the WE shocks from getting repressurized, new hyperfax, tunnel extension, anti stab kit and the new drivers should be pressed on the drive shaft.

I did run into another snag. the 162 new style ce track has the little nubs just like the powder claw track. I called avid and they said to just trim off the little nubs. I would have rather put the other drivers on but time is getting short. need this running soon. maybe I'll switch them next year. I'll post more install pics tomorrow.

better boards and track installed

got the better boards and track installed. The chain case has to come off to put the drive shaft on with the avid drivers. The nubs had to be trimmed off with a razerblade to clear the drivers.
i also put a tunnel extension on from slp to clear the 162 track. SLP anti stab kit installed and Hyper fax is installed. Rail extenstion from Tracks USA.

Now to Prep the motor.

installed motor

I installed the motor today and its a very tight fit. Brad from power addiction built the motor plate and fit the motor. He did an outstanding job. I will be running either an IQR or an m-7 belt. he had to move the motor a little to clear the water pump and the steering shaft. He also raised the rear to clear the jack shaft. I had to grind a little off one carb to miss the steering.

The coolant lines are hooked up and ready and the fuel system is ready.

That is a very sweet build. I have a buddy that is going to be moddin a 700 and puttin it in the Dragon chassis. Brad does awesome work. I think you should add the 09 front end

its got zbros a-arms and a good bumper. What would I gain from the 09 front end? I'm not sure what the difference is.
