I also have an SLP air intake for $25. Basically just pay to have it shipped and it's yours. I'm trying to clean the shed out and get rid of all this old stuff I am never gonna use, so I'm trying to let it go for shipping + a tank of gas :)

Just to let you know there is a diffence between a 2005 / 2006 exhaust.

Also, SLP made a specific can for each year cause putting the wrong can on the sled will melt the chaincase.

I was pretty sure the silencers they started making in 2006 worked for the 2005 and 2006 model year, didn't they?

I am pretty sure they will "fit" BUT.

There are more spring "loops" on one and not the other.

The 2005 chaincase is bigger on the 2005 compared to the 2006.

So the can from an 06 to an 05 may put the can closer to the chaincase.

An 05 can on a 06 will be a little taller and you can melt the insulation on the hood. Plus the "angles" of the loops for the springs and less springs on a 06 verses an 05 might mess things up on what the can might touch during maneuvers. The donuts might not seal right on different model of mufflers.

Also the rubber mount you have your hand on are different heights for different years.

I am not sure SLP made a 2005-2006 compatible muffler but I know they made a can for each year. Cause I put a 2006 can on my 2005 and had an unathorized cook fest inside the compartment while out in the fluffly stuff. So there is a number stamped (or welded tag) SLP will tell you specifically what year/sled/engine it is for.

Now to end this ... I am going off memory and did not go see the sleds to confirm so I am bubble on or completely off bubble as far as what year exhaust does what to each other year swapping it out.

The rubber mount where your hand is are different heights for each year. There should be a stamped number or welded plate telling what trhis is compatible with. Call SLP , give the number and they will tell you what the muffler is for.

BTW $75 is an awesome deal ... might be too awesome if you ship to a remote area here in the states.

According SLP the can in question is made to fit both years.

Original 2005 cans are no longer available... I am not sure why the 05 can was not recommended to fit the 06.

I have one of the original 2005 cans on my 900 and according to Mountainhorse...

fordguy... that can is a 2005 SLP ... made in 2005... different than the 2005/06 can they made when the 06 came out. That one is my fav on the 2005 chassis...but not avail since 2006.

I provided why a 2005 and 2006 specific can will not interchange with optimal performance.

Great so they made a can compatible for both the 2005-2006 Polaris 900 configuration.

The best of both worlds :)

I'm selling this stuff for a song, seriously, I need to clean out some of these spare parts I'm never gonna use again ...
