Which is the best ALL AROUND sled with BOOST?

Arctic Cat M7
Arctic Cat M8
Arctic Cat M1000
Polaris Rmk 600
Polaris Rmk 700
Polaris Rmk 800
Ski Doo Summit 800
Yamaha Nytro
Yamaha Apex

I know I live in Iowa unfortunately. If i could find a job with the benefits and pay I currently have, I would move in a heartbeat. But, what I meant by "all around" was boondocking in tight areas, jumping, climbing, and reliability.

How do i add a couple more sleds to the poll??? I went to edit and can't figure it out.

I don't care what anyone says...one thing is for CERTAIN....you cannot beat the sound of a boosted four stroke!

PS, you should list the Skidoo 1200 four stroke, I know this sled will be a favorite for some people.

FYI...
jumping & yamaha don't belong in the same sentence. If you like air, the yammi is a joke without a punchline.

We've got 15-1600 high boosted miles (9-15) on an M8, without a single issue relating to the turbo (one DD (no summer maintenence), one rubbed wire (also my fault) it amazes me how reliable this sled has been.

For reliability, my ideal sled would be the dragon 700 though.

It's summer, you're getting such a small cross section of riders that it'll be hard to see an honest pattern.

I think that if people felt like the Polaris 8 motor issues were 100% sorted out that it would be the best sled out there, but since it's a bit sketchy I'd be a bit nervous about boosting one. I just know too many people who have had issues. The 7 on the other hand is BOMBER!! Just run a couple more psi!!

A couple funny pics that CO 2.0 posted on GB a few weeks back, gave me a laugh! These were from a poo owner that switched over to Cat, good a for a laugh!

Not sure which sled is the best boosted.. But as for the Polaris Dragon 800..

I rode with Brad Story this season with his Dragon 800 and his water to air intercooler installed and that sled ran extremely well..

Rode with a few Silber kits as well and they ran OK.. But, IMO, Brad has the hot set-up for the Dragon 800...

The local dealer here (Northstar Ultimate Outdoors) has some turbo kits than run well for the Dragon 800..

But, I would contact Story and pick his brain ...

I also ride with a couple of his (Story) Cat 800 turbos and they run very well also.

Lots of good kits out there.. and a couple of "great" kits.. for all brands

Just be sure you do the race gas 10PSI and higher kits to get your money's worth..

Best boosted sled?

After riding the SkiDoo 1200 I am in love with torque and power plus lightweight handling.
Worst sled boost in 4 stroke was Phazer.
I never really liked the Nytro for trail or boondocking and Vector over the Apex because of very smooth torque power, lighter and great fuel mileage.

why not change to the thread title to "what turbo sled do you have?"......same result:light:

not exactly, i have a turbo nytro and i voted for the m8 being best all around, i had m8 before the nytro, and for boondocking and jumping i belive the m8 is better, i guess for climbing and reliability the nytro is better, but the m8 is still pretty darn good

In the great part of OR.
Had a great conversation with Mark about brad's new set up for the D8. A wide range of out comes, from pump gas, to straight race fuel with inner cooler. All with go prices on them.

IMO I'm not sure if there is a (best sled boosted), it might come down to what tubo you install? You could take a m8 with a boondocker set up, against a D8 with a silber set up, and the doondocker set up will come out on top. Does that mean it is the dest sled? NO. Switch that around M8 with the silber, and the
D8 with the doondocker, the doondocker comes out on top again. Does that mean it is the dest sled? NO.

Just my two penny's

Don't read so much into it and make it so complicated. It's just a simple question, asking you of your opinion. If you must, assume every sled is setup with an equal quality turbo kit. This thread isn't to analyze all the turbo kits out there, there are enough of those threads already. This is just a census to find out from the people who own a boosted sled or have owned multiple boosted sleds, which is their favorite.

My vote is...

Best sounding sled -Apex
Best for reliability-Yamaha 4strk
Best boondockingM8(i don't have boost though)
Best looking-They all look good to me.
Best overall-I think Yamaha because they gonna run evry day for 1,000"s of miles not 1 or 2 thousand miles.
