The mounting system.... looks looks a bit more stout than the 800... that keeps packing out and getting loose.... but I wonder if there is ANY kind of adjustability to account for mfg tolerance-stacking or slight changes from crash damages?

I have been asked numerous times about putting an 850 into their 2016-18 chassis.

NOPE.

Not unless you want to fab an all-new bulkhead mount system.

Any idea if the ECU, wiring harness etc is the same? (obviously the map is new...)

EDIT: nevermind. Looks new.

If it ends up being as reliable as they claim I would say they hit a home run. I liked my stock 17 axys better than with the turbo to be honest. With the extra claimed 9hp I would be plenty happy. Seems like they addressed a lot of the concerns as far as the engine mountains, pistons, thermostat, tps, etc. Not motor related but I am curious on the new reliablility of the a arms too.

I like most of the changes, but not sure about the one ring on the piston.. And the price holly.

Looks like they are getting better at feeback from sensors...

They put on a fuel pressure monitor/control system... Nice for the ECU to be able to control and/or warn you of problems. Will help with digital-wrench diagnostics for problem sleds should they arise.

Larger clutch taper on the 840 power-plant.
Won't interchange with previous models.

From what I hear... the clutch itself is the same...just a 2mm larger taper (34mm compared to 32mm)

I wonder... with Mahle Industries taking over Kukusan-Denki (supplier of the CFi electronics/controls to Polaris) ... If the new pistons are made by Mahle??
I've been a fan of the quality and repeatability of the Mahle pistons... and many are made right here in the USA!

wonder who is the manufacturer of this crank. those bronze coloured rods are usually a tell tale sign of the mape brand. high failure rate. i really hope its a fuji but it would most likely have grey (lighter colour) rods if it were.
