i bought my wife a 98 summit x 670,it has 2000 mi on it it runs great but once in a while it wont start right away after ridin it for a while,dont know what it could be fuel,or electric.what could i check any advice would be appreciated.

When my '99 Summit X is hot I have to hold the trottle open while pulling it over to get it to start.

If you park a 670 pointed down hill and shut it off it will be flooded and won't start. try parking it with the front uphill and let it idle for 30 seconds before you shut it off.
