ES Seat and Tank

Just curious if anyone knows if the seat and tank on the new electric start models are essentially the same big, heavy units used since 2012? Cat lightened the standard model seat and tanks in 2014 and supposedly again here for 2018. Would be nice if they trimmed some of that fat on the ES one too.

ES is now a 30 pound accessory from the sounds of it, on a MC at least.
And this new motor starts easier...

Best bet if you want ES is to buy a non-ES and add the stater and Li battery under the hood. That's what I'm doing. I want the lighter/larger fuel take and smaller seat on the non-ES model.

what does it take to add the ES to the MC? is the wiring harness already installed?
