Default handle bar stop can you remove it?

buddie wants to put his handle bars farther foward on his 07 rev but there is a plate that only lets them go so far foward can this be removed?

Some guys cut them off, but IF you slam into the bars and they fold forward it pulls the throttle cable and open the throttle...not good. And the Rev will travel much better in the deep with bars/rider back a bit vs forward.

you can just fold it over so that you can push the bars a bit forward, if you don't like trying to cut it off. Its pretty weak metal. One of the first things you should do if you like to have the bars nice and high

Default Tab

You may have the bars hit the windshield before full lock right and left. Solution is to put on some sort of articulating riser where you can move the bars up and forward. Then the tab removal is no big deal!
