Can you put an 174x16x3" track on a apex mtx?

Can you put an 174x16x3" track on a apex mtx or do have to modifie it in any way. Are there any railextensions that fits for the apex to make it from 162" to 174". The sled is an 2009 apex mtx.

Not without modifying, you need to drop the axle to fit an 3" lug, 2.5" lug track is tight, Avid have some stuff: https://www.avid-products.com/store/ProdDet.cfm?ProdID=69

Split Second Chaincase, Avid chaincase, and CR drop and roll are some options I've seen.

I have the drop and roll, allows you to run the stock chain length, gives you more room around the header too.
