Whats the best option out there for starting a small retail website.

Free, ya that would be nice but you get what you pay for ?

What do you think ?

Cheapest and easiest it to register, host and sign up for E-commerce on Godaddy and be done with it. THere are cheaper ways, but this is the fastest, most cost effective and relatively easiest non-geek way to do it, you can use paypal checkout.

Nice!!! me and a friend are starting a small business and we were curious about starting a web site as well. Thanks for the info!

Note: Templates are good, but a dedicated Mom & Pop web outfit will do wonders for ya.
