Hi,

Been hanging around here some years now, but never published my project.
It all started out in july 2009.

I went up to the far north of Sweden and bought me a smashed MCX Vector mountain from 2006.
It was truly a steal. The Mountain skid was long gone and shorten to 345 with a moded F-cat boggie..

Gah, it looked like ****, but I had a receipt that the engine only had 100 (swedish) miles on the meter and the turbo kit was good as new.

Well, the right front-end was totally gone, bulk etc. My first idé was to just change the bulk and get it running. But, well....... Now 13 months later with this beast it have turned out that I'm just standning with the engine left from what once where a MCX Vector Mountain! ;):D

Ok so now, 13 months later, the setup is the following..

Engine:
  • Garrett GT2860RS
    TIAL BOV 50mm
    Modified MCX IC
    Heat wraped homemade manifold.
    Custom homemade DP (tunneldump)
    Different springs in the carbs.
    Whalbros fuelpump
    Malpassi 1:1 FPR
    Lightweight GEL-battery
    Innovative o2-sensor
    Autobahn Water-temp and Turbo-pressure

Chassie:
  • Apex look (plastics hood etc)
STD bulkhead, modified for the mid-mount Turbo.
Steering post is moved forward etc.
Custom made tunnel from a Ski-doo Summit with tunnel cooler.
Better boards with custom made runner edges.
    REV fuel-tank
    Boss Seat
RSI carbon fiber handlebar with 3" riser
    Aluminum throttle-block
    RSI billet kill-switch
    New style yam mud-flap

Drivetrain:
  • Yam primary clutch. NOT yet diced what weights and spring to use...
Heelclicker HC-X billet secondary clutch. (maybe change it for a stock with shockwave helix)
    NEW sec and drive shaft.
Chaincase changed from reverse to stock.
    20/40 gearing 68link chain.
    AVID Non-slip
    162" Challenger
Mountain Master 162" skid (BLING BLING) w. fox float
    Barkbuster 39" wide front-end.
    GYT-R front shocks
    C&A Pro Skis

Future plans... Well, I've had the sled in 13 months now and it the only thing it has seen is the inside of my garage yet...|||

My goal is to get this sled close to perfection as possible within a reasonable budget.

Stay tuned

Haven't done so much lately, but some progress is done.

Apex plastic, gasrack, new skis etc is mounted.
Waiting for my NEW rev tank so I can continue with my Phazer seat build.

Still waiting for my new axles for the skid, IC is at my local workshop for some re-welding and I'm just waiting for some more spare time. LoL

Here's some pics.

Please comment what you think so far :)

Vector Turbo

I was wondering if you did anything to the carbs. Jets, niddles, floats. We put a powerlite on my brothers vector and it bogs real bad. I have been told several ways to fix this but haven't found the right combination yet.

I think the carbs are stock, maybe bigger jets! They came from a mcx turbo setup! Installed by mcx!
