I have a 2010 Dragon800 163 and want to run it without the hood for spring is there anything i need todo beside remove the hood.

People use to put a resistor in line to suck up some of the juice. They say the newer cats do not need it any more but not sure about polaris.You know whoever THEY are.

I would run a light. and I am not sure if you need to run the speedo.
I ride the spring a lot, and I guess I just don't see the need. Good venting, good clutching and no issues.
Just not worth the hassle IMHO.
Agreed. Also, no reason to expose the electronics to potential damage.

I run mine hoodless a lot in the spring have never had an issue, helps a ton keeping everything cooler
I do have a turbo oil pump and bd box that draws a little juice tho
