last two rides have been deep powder days! reverse works fine unloading and on hard pack. But in powder and off trail the helix on the driven is not locking in the notch, and the sheaves are open with no belt tension and also makes loud ratcheting to grinding noise. had DD apart between rides all looks good there. Also when shifting to forward the grind noise was present, unloaded the track and spun, and was back to good and finished the day. But i'm concerned about failure. Still new to cat and appreciate all help thanks!

Does this have torsional spring conversion? This can be an issue with that setup. Other thing could be is if you slam on brakes and lock track before secondary can downshift, belt might still be low in clutch and very loose.

Stock driven, rollers end up just above the notch in the helix. Has happened after a stick and just falling off sled and coasting to a stop and trying to backup to bust thru the wall of snow I was pushing. 3Ft. Plus Great days at the Ears/Buff pass.
