New key for 2018 axys lost today?

I lost my key today in deep powder. I have electric start. Turned the key to stop engine it stuck to my glove and lost in the bottomless powder. Unplugged it to finish off the day and found my spare at home. Can I get the spare copied at a hardware store? Dealer is an hour away and closed.

A copy of the key would work fine. Only skidoo is using a rfid signal to start in the keys.

Thanks hardware store found a blank that works. After 45 minutes. Thanks hardware store. I think it a motorcycle blank

Fyi you’re going to want a stock replacement with the rubber surround.

Water in the switch freezes and is a PITA.

Thanks for the heads up. Turns out a Honda snowblower rubber surround fits perfectly.
