Working on installing a Skinz rear bumper on a 153 Nytro.


This is the rear bumper torn down.

I think the hang down corner parts are to short they should go under the lip of the tunnel sides , to keep it solid

I am just not sure we have the right parts.
Fired off a note to Skinz asking them to come and take a look at this and confirm we got the correct part for what we are trying to do.

Almost looks like to me you don't use the stock rear piece at all. Maybe the snow flap just mounts directly to the new extension? Just not sure on how the strength would be though for how thin it looks.

Skinz got back to me today.


Christopher,

Here are the instructions. You don’t use the old rear piece at all. The dip in the bumper lines up with the new tunnel panel laser cut dip. I’m sending you a pic of the bumper installed now.

Alright so since we got the instructions here is the beginning! Got the extra plate clamped on and began drilling

Then got it all riveted down. Had to remove the bracket that holds the taillight in place and then re rivet it in my place with the tunnel extension.

Then clamped the bumper to the tunnel. I love how perfectly it fits to the groove of the tunnel!

Got the wide rivets put in the furthest back portion of the bumper.

Then added the new tunnel bag on top! All that's left now is to trim the tunnel
