This unit has the single power/tack hook up wire, what to connect to please? Hoping to find one near the headlight???

should be any yellow wire, that is the way all polaris sleds I done are

You need to call Digatron and get the correct wiring harness. You have the incorrect 2-wire AC harness which works for older sleds but not for the 09...you need the 3-wire DC unit......

I think the part number is LC48D8C-C...but verify that when you call in your order...1-866-DIGATRON

here is how mine has been installed for two years.....
D orange to Polaris red with white tracer near your ECU
D red to any 12v power
D black to ground on clutch cover
