Hyfax for my M8

I
I purchased a Hyfax from a local dealer last week and i put it on last night.
After i installed it i noticed it was about 5-6 inches short of the end of the rail.
The other side is about 2 inches short. Is that okay?
Or should i take it off and take it back?

Take it back and get the correct ones. Also when you put the new ones on, chamfer the back edge so that the clips do not catch.

Mine don't fully extend to the rail ends either from the factory. They are 2-3" shorter than they look like they need to be. If replacing, I would do it properly as mentioned and get long enough one's to cut and angle correctly to help prevent reverse catching issues. It don't make that big of a deal if they are a tad short, but I think 5-6" is pushing it. The biggest deal is if the rail clips and track start to touch the end of the rails near where they end, that could cause some wear and damage...
