Electrical Problem?

This morning i was messin around with my 05 summit 800 adrenaline and when i started it up the engine turned on fine but the tach, digital display, and headlights all didn't turn on. Anybody know what my problem might be? i was thinking maybe some wiring under the dash but i kind of want some input before i start messing with wiring.

havent had that problem with mine.(07 800) but had a yamaha srx that wiring under the motor would shut off the whole upper pod, eventually lead to it not running till I rewired it.

thanks, when you had to rewire your yammie was it just a bum terminal somewhere or did you need to get new wiring?

I assume you've checked any fuses and grounds?

No I've been in school all day. That's what i'll do when i get home though.

i would bet money that it is the relay above the secondary clutch. common problem.

Another vote here for the relay. Same problems happens on mine when the relay goes.

check the relay like others said.....like i said havent had or heard of doo problems.

yammi was wires were getting burnt ever so slightly, at one glance you couldnt see it but melted to eachother and were touching themselves
