I'm not sure that everyone realizes this but the pro's have and awesome onboard diagnostic system that allows you to check what is causing your check engine light to come on. Look in your owners manual on pages 39-41.
The engine must be running and the check engine light must be on. This is very easy to do and was very helpful diagnosing my injector problem.
