Well are you going to be converting to a mountain sled? What kind of hp are looking for? How deep are your pockets? So if you are going to be converting to a mtn sled this is what I would do:

-Get a 09-10 600r so you get the updated light front suspension, and the new 600 motor to do the 800 mono conversion like I did.

-Either change the tunnel out with a VE or do their ext. and get a U cooler so you can utilize the top of the tunnel

-Change out the rear skid due to the weight of the racing skid and the horrible approach angle. If you don't do this it will be a trenching fool. Either Ez Ryde, holz, timbersled, or rmk/dragon skid works great. Just depends how much you want to spend

- Go with the the Challenger extreme 2.5" track, its the best track for both worlds.

-Oil inject it for the convience

-800 mono block conversion is cheap and in-expensive for the hp gains. Keep it a single pipe for better mountain riding.

-Regear and clutch for better track speed and engagement

-Holtzman ATACC significantly made my sled run so much better.

- Different skis for better deep snow floatation and handling. These sleds are very aggressive on the steering.

This will give you a start.

Here are some of my IQR started out as an 05 mod chasis, 3 motors later it now has the 09 600 converted to 800 with neils pipe, right now it is just a 136" I am looking at extending it but haven't decided to what yet.

Here's a couple of pics of mine.
It started as an 05, with the following:
Holz front end
Ryde FX Pro Shocks with TI springs
800 CFI ported by Fastrax with a Power Addiction Head
Custom fit SLP single (although I really like Die Hard Poo's twins (pm me the info if you can))
Custom motor mount plate to get the motor low in the chassis
Diamond Drive conversion
Nextech Carbon Mono Skid
128 x 15 x 1.7 Sno Pro Track
Fly Carbon bars and concealed wiring
Lots of other custom touches to lose weight and centralize mass
Neil

IQR 910

Got to love IQR mod sleds. Unfortantly mine came at the expense of another wasted winter in the shop.

My baby..... so far.

putting in a 700 non ves with aero 5300. I think ill set it up to run pump, Ive spent too much on the build to run race. If people are interested in keep posting pics and updates on the build. Chassis is good to go, minus bark buster front end. I just dropped the engine in last night, now the real fun begins...

*** please hold for pics **** (not on this computer, whoops.)
