Hello, I am trying to finish up my 900 rebuild and realized that I didnt remove the knock sensor the guy I bought the project from did. Can anyone tell me or post a picture of exackly where the little black dougnut looking thingy goes. Thanks.

It is bolted under the head on the backside in the center.

so does that mean the head has to come off or it its on the back side of the engine?

It is bolted to the head right in front of the water pump coolant hoses. Shouldn't have to remove the head if you have the motor out.

if you remove the gas tank, you might be able to get to it and install it from that direction..check all your wiring for fraying and reroute if it looks rough..
