Whos piston/kit to use? Why? OEM or one of the others

Bought a bargain 700, 1800 mi. 162. Pulled exhaust valve pistons have a few scores on them, so going to tear it down.

Thanks

The ones that fit....

the 700's didn't have the same piston to cylinder clearance issues that the 800's had. any, including OEM should work fine. just measure the cylinders first and do good work.

As mentioned in the above post, pretty much any piston will work. I'd recommend getting dual ring Pistons though. 07 700's came with them but 08-09 700's had single rings for some reason (probably because they are a good design, but I run duals just for the extra protection). SPI and Weissco both make good rebuild kits.

I agree with running dual ring pistons also. I have put spi pistons in both my IQ 600 and 700 and also my mod 1m 900 with no problems.

How much can be honed out? When do you have it replated
