This is a video my boy Bryce made of our ride with the Snowflakes group on the North Slope, past Bear River Service in Utah on February 7th 2015. The video is almost all of Bryce with a few glancing shots of some other folks. He used a custom-made dual GoPro mount that even survived the "encounter" with a tree - sled and rider are okay, thankfully. We're all glad no one got caught in the avalanche. Thanks to the Snowflakes group for the good food afterwords!
I had the wrong link, this is hopefully the correct one.

Yes, the GoPro mount works really well. The video looks really cool. Bryce is really handy at making stuff. He used parts from crutches and camera tripods and roller skate bearings and scrap aluminum to come up with a really functional solution.

Another good ride - Soapstone 2/21/2015

We rode Soapstone yesterday 2/21/2015 and the snow was great back in the trees, especially in the shadows. About 6-8 inches of new but in the backwoods it was over-the-hood deep. It was the best snow of the season for us. I'll try and post some pics later. We seriously shredded some meadows - great fun!

Pics PLEASE!!!!

Val and I are heading east from Tahoe right now.posting from the passenger seat)... We're heading to Colorado but for sure we would stop in Utah for good snow.

Whereabouts is Soapstone? Where is trailhead? Near what town?

If anyone is interested in riding, we are on ProRMKs- 2012 Long Rodded 163, 2011 Long Rodded 155. Beacon, Probe, shovel, airbag equipped. Not chute rippers or high markers. We avoid trails and prefer to poke through the trees and drainages-- u turns are often required!

Thanks in advance,

Pics of Soapstone ride

To get to Soapstone take Interstate 80 then 189 then 248 to Kamas then up 150 to the end of the road where the winter gates are closed. I'm not sure if I can ride next weekend but there is supposed to be several snow storms this week so it will probably be good.
