Yes i know that the Moto-trax is bad. I have the original Scout XC. The rear shock really sucks, i have changed out the Shock spring 3 times last year with a heavier one, trying to keep the track from bottoming. I am a big guy at 250, has anyone had the Fox shock revalved and how did it work?

I am fully aware i should get a different kit, but not in the cards this winter so i am going to run it until i cant fix it anymore, and hopefully next year get something different.

Just revalve it. Mine works awsome now. Its rising rate so if your big you can go crazy stiff on valving and it will still be plusher than a timbersled.
Heres my stacks

Its sweet suspension. Its worth dicking around with the companies other issues. I modded mine also by cutting the frame and moving the track
forward. I also got rid of the tilt ball joint and made it solid. Tilty tracks isn't any advantage. someday we will look back and remember the tilty tracks like the automatic seatbelts from the early 90's that would rip my ears off when I open the door.....

How did you remove the pivot ball? I hate that i cant let my bike stand by itself, it will just fall over in the garage.

I'll try to take some pictures of it later but basically I used a cross shaft from an old snowmobile skid and found a piece of pipe that slipped tightly over the cross shaft and I welded two short pieces of angle perpendicular to the pipe that bolts to the shock swingarm in place of the Pivot ball . It's pretty solid and simple .

I Could probably took more time and add a grease zerk but apparently Polaris is also to lazy to add zerks.

Thanks bud, i have a RMK 144 skid laying around that i thought about installing the rails on and putting it in the Mototrax frame. But i am going to wait and have the shock revalved first. I will take the pivot out when i get the kit mounted up. Thanks Again

Revalve it. Hit M9 Suspension up. Had a 17' motohax, had M9 revalve (before I had a fire sale on that kit) and it was a huge improvement across all riding conditions.
My understanding is MotoTrax started using M9's revalve specs in their 18' production.

Hey thanks for the recommendation of M9. I called and talked to Darrin for about 30 mins on what he can do and he gave some suggestions on how to setup my kit to make it handle better. Im gonna send off my shock here soon to him to get revalved.
