I like it! Good move keeping a decent size gas tank at 11.7 gallons...most seem to reduce anymore. Any hopefully they didn't go too far on weight reduction and still have a solid chassis. Will be cool to see some on the snow.

What's an Arctic Mountain Drive System?

Fancy name for their rolled chain case? Was kind of hoping belt drive!

Anyone have the dry weight? Also, what track options are they offering?

I keep seeing 15lbs lighter than last year. Track lengths are 153 and 162 x3". But remember this is just an early release, so could be more to come at the end of February, as far as options go

an '18 realeased 24 days into 2017, and for sale too?... wow, what do youguys think about cats marketing now?

Smart move! Plenty of time to get some real world feedback before snow check time. Plus the aftermarket guys get an early jump. Should have a lot of stuff up and running by start of the season. All around win for us!!

Website is up and running with all of the info - except weight of course - why not just publish it - they're obviously proud, and should be, that they lost weight.

https://www.arcticcat.com/snow/sleds/model/2017-en-2018-early-release-m-8000-sno-pro-153162/

Surprised no LED headlights , that seems like a no-brainer anymore.

Also - why is a tether not a standard safety requirement on all of these sleds, regardless of manufacturer. I have installed 5 of them in recent months, it's a PITA because of where they locate the plug to tap into the harness - at least make that somewhat accessible. Yes I hope Cat reads these posts on these forums!

Anyways - good job Cat - about time.

No doubt, they nailed this one. Be on the snow early enough to impress the masses. With them testing the motor for about 4 years this should be pretty much a problem free sled that is gonna be on top for next year. Awesome job Cat!!!

From the video it looked like the trail sled had LED lights. It might be an option on the LE mountain sleds. Got to save some good stuff for those. :)

Well lets see DOO is gonna be dooing what they did in 2009, adding weight and trying to get the bugs worked out of the new sled. Poo will be in it's 3rd year of the Axys, nothing but maybe a couple of little improvements coming from them. So unless Yami is gonna blow us out of the water, lmao, I think it's safe to say A/C will be sled of the year for 18...
