Currently running sled with no battery, and my electric pump turns on with a hobbs switch. I plan on deleting the hobbs switch, and running only the ecectric pump. The only issue I see, is when the electric pump kicks on now, at night I can see all my lights dim. Don't want to replace a stator. Would a capacitor work good enough, or would a battery be a better route?

take out all the hobbs switch stuff and the old stock fuel pump. run a rectifier and then if you still want a capacitor then add one.

this will clean up the bottom end and make it alot more user friendly.

What rectifier? and where do you wire it in at? Certain specs to look for? Could I get one at radio shack? The setup is similar to the highmarc rec kit. If I remove the hobbs switch, and the relay crap with it, does the rectifier go there. I am semi-retarded when it comes to ac voltage. Would be easier for my thick head if it was all dc
