Spray some starting fluid on the seal while running, watch the rpms for any gain. If your rpms rise the seal needs to be replaced asap. Split the case and inspect everything while you can. Bearings (if they slide off or rasp when you spin em/no good), check upper/lower case for bearing burn/slip, check rods for any up down play too (side to side should be minimal movement). Replace the seals and put some grease on the outside of the seals so they dont dry/crack. Use 111b to reseal the case. And should be good to go

All seals can weep a little... not sure it requires replacement at that point but better to err on the side of caution.

I thought the WD40 spraying the seal is a little safer test than starting fluid since it is not basically explosive... and easier to hit just the seal with the spay can straw... it will still pick up speed if the seal is sucking in air. If it isn't sucking air / picking up engine speed, you could just keep an eye on it and retest it every so often...
