I have a new to me 2015 pro rmk 163” with a mtntk turbo.
Curious if anyone has run 10-70 weights and what the boost would be at 7000 ft to keep peak rpm at 8150.

Is the only thing required to adjust the wastegate arm to reach my rpm?

Had a 2011 Silber turbo before that caused me much grief that no one could resolve, thus the reason i’ve Been out of the turbo game for a few years.

I'm running this setup and have had great luck, maybe my clutch alignment is good but belt life has been great with the gates carbon belt. I use the 10-70 weights and added with set screws to 76 grams, I did weld some extra weight to the tips though, but I'm approx 8k rpm at 6-7# at 6k feet. Gives me room to keep my boost down or to turn it up to 8#.

Secondary spring black yellow, 180-260

Primary spring 180 320 pink or black/almond spring

Helix 44-48

also depending on what boost you run and if you are UNDER rpm, you can turn up the boost a bit to compensate and gain some rpm.

With 10 series weights. (Turbo weights work better though light heel heavy tip.)
IMO you want a helix something like a 40/50 .56 or .36
Or a 42/48 .56 44/50 .56 these are what most turbo kit companies would send in a kit. All helixes description it needs an ER.
on the end. For reverse notch.

And you need something like a 180/280 secondary spring to go with it.

Your stock helix is a probably a 56/42 .36 with 155/222 spring.
Not going to work very well. It will load the motor too hard off engagement.

That stock primary spring a 140/340 is not great choice either.
The high finish rate is going to make want to rev.
BD alaways sent a 165/310, you probably won't like the engagement of that one though. So try like 140/310 or 300.

Having said all that, read the TRS clutching threads. There is a new way to clutch a turbo. Or any sled for that matter. Which is actually an old way.

Does the non intercooled setup do okay at 8-10 pounds at 6000-8000 ft.

Proven setups appreciated.

I have 2 similar sleds (one is the wife’s sled lol) and I would like to have mine riding the performance line. Also gotta beat buddies 850 doo.

Thx

Others can probably better answer your question here.

But what fuel have you been running.

I say 10lbs at 6000 with no intercooler you should have 100 octane

I have a Dragon 700 174 2.5 7t 3.0 drivers 19/41 gears
With 44-50.56 helix 180-280 spring team black orange
140-320 primary Team Red
I did run 10-70 weights for a time.
At 5-6000 straight av it took 10 lbs to make it work.
Not over revving though. Could probably go to 11lbs.

The 75g lighting weights. Drilled in the heel to make them 72g.
They work better.

Other helix options 46-34 full progressive 140-200 spring
10 series won't work with that though

I believe str48 helixes have also been used by turbo kit companies.
Not sure which spring with it. Maybe someone that has used that setup can chime in.
Just thinking of helixes that might be easy to get. And will work better than stock. 56-42 cause the other ones are usually custom order.
