Hello,
Just curious if the governor cup can be removed from the TRA primary to perform a quick add/remove of weight without having to remove clutch completely off of the crankshaft/sled? It seems that if the primary bolt was removed that the governor cup should slide out of the movable sheave or....??

Thanks,
-John

Not on the TRA7. The 2 halves are a compression fit instead of splined like the older TRA's.
I'm surprised someone hasn't come up with a puller for the outer half yet, some sort of plastic coated wedges that go between the sheaves after the main bolt is out.

winter brew,
Thanks for the response. I figured the outer and inner sheaves were a pressed fit but that the governor cup might be able to be slide out once the primary mounting bolt was removed without having to disrupt either of the 2 movable sheaves. Clearly I am not a clutching guru....

Thanks,
-John
