I'm not a fan of the H3, but with a 300 HP 5.3, it could be a cool vehicle.....couldn't it?

Just for perspective, my wife currently drives a Rainier & I don't think she cares if a H3 makes her less manly.

I just thought the 5.3 would make it a tolerable mid-size.
The standard 3.5 wouldn't pull a sick whore off a piss pot though.

I will disagree with you there. I have a 05 Colorado crewcab with the 3.5 in it. While it is no full size I feel it does just fine towing. I have gone on many highway trips towing and no problem, and tow my mowing trailer with it every day.

The H3 is capable of being a real off-road rig. The H3 Alpha is sweet. I would have loved one. I think it is called the Alpha-X right? The Alpha bumped the price quite a bit new. I think the Alpha adds a lot of other things besides the bigger motor, locking differentials, front to back locking, more ground travel, better departure/exit angles, etc.
