Heard noise’s last year While removing skid, there was damage to rail tips and some damage to drivers. My intent is to put in a pro skid, but once in, rail tips surely will hit drivers. ??? Why would stock rails hit drivers??

I have a pro skid in mine and it works great.
Tips should not hit the drivers so something is wrong with the skid or mounting parts.

Rails were hitting drivers on stock in skid. I bought it second hand. Did they come stock with white plastic extrovert drivers?

NOPE.

No combo/Extros on stock....Rails MUST be trimmed to run those.

Post a photo of your drivers/rails.

No question. Previous owner installed anti-ratchets and had cut the rails down, It still had hit the tips some. Out comes the pro skid and it gets cut along with some anti stab wheels.

Guess I am surprised someone took the effort to put extroverts on a stock 600. My old triple 800 had to have them with some HP, but the mild mannered 600 shouldn't ratchet.

BTW, did the pro skid make a noticable difference getting up on the snow? less trenching?
