Be sure you take out the bolt SaberKitty is talking about. You can't see it. It's inside the trackshaft and you'll need a long extention to reach it. You don't have to remove all of the brake assembly. If you take the nuts off of the bolts that attach the brake to the chassis, the trackshaft will angle enough for the track to slip over the drivers and out. At least they would on the 05-08 M's.

When I removed the track on my Crossfire the shaft was stuck in the bearings that are in the brake assembly. It took a few good hits to break it free. I used a 4"X4" block of wood against the shaft and a BFH.
