How much HP does the 00 and 01 edge 600 have and is there enny known Issues on these engines and other info about them.

I think they were rated at about 110HP. They are almost bulletproof, very strong reliable engines.

Here's the Dyno Chart from SnowTech as I had a new 2001 EDGE-X 600

115.5 hp @ 8000 RPM

Other than runnin' a little hot in marginal snow conditions, mine ran for around 5,000 trouble-free miles, my bud has it now.

112-115 was expected stock, install a Tempaflow and gain 2mpg+ and the HP will stay truer. Exhaust ports were .5mm lower than '02 newer engines and felt stronger on lower and midrange pull where most throttle time is spent...
