Track Tension

I have a 2002 RMK 800 151, and was wondering how tight or loose the track should be. I was doing some MT climbing and it felt like the track was skipping, or ratcheting on the drive line, I was also in some wet heavy snow, any help would be great, thanks.

Check the chain tension first.

Jack up the back of your sled and see how far the track is sagging below the slide rail. Suck up any more than about 1 inch of sag. Heavy wet snow is the worst for ratcheting. I usually tighten mine up in the spring and I run extrovert drivers.
