I don't think dealers can quote prices online, that said I'm not a dealer and think I saw 1 for mid 12's, not sure what add-on's (or lack of) and such it had

Wait until Jan 1, 2016. You likely won't miss much riding. The Axys non-snowcheck will be $10,500-$11500. Sometimes I think I should do the same thing. You lose an easy $2k when you snow check. You can pay for extra warranty for around $500-$700.

So, "why snow check"? My wife is trying to figure it out still

We are getting my dad into one, and I'm anxious to try it as well!

...we have a deal worked out on a 15, but wondering if we should jump up to the new iron!

Old chassis, old pricing! :peace:

resale value of a 2011-15 is terrible. it will be interesting to see how the market looks for used 16 axys chassis this time next year. will it hold decent, or will it go to crap again? part of the reason is that $1000 golden ticket. RIGHT NOW, the ticket a double edge sword for people buying new polaris. it looks good right away, but when you go to sell you take a huge hit due to the market (example: new pro 15s selling for less than $8800). the combo of the ticket and a flooded market makes for an interesting market value.

and you cant blame the snow, weather, etc of last season. look at cat and doo. their resale value is not like that. did mother nature affect it a little bit? probably.

I think the 11-15 pro resale have made their big initial market price drop, and will flatline for the next two years.

Simply put, there are so many young dudes out there who can't afford new, they will keep a decent used pro in high demand for the next few years. It's still a great sled, and it's proven. It's what they all wanted to ride, but couldn't afford to buy or insure. Easy to work on. Lots of parts and accessories. The few on this forum are focused on the new - there is a much bigger audience for the used. The huge price increase for the Axys over the Pro will only help stabilize Pro prices more.

The reason the pro's took such a big hit was cause of the big rebates that poo put on the left overs the last couple of years.

The question is what will poo do for rebates on the left over 16 axys in the spring. Hopefully they don't hose the current owners.

Hopefully they don't hose the current owners.

Unless there's a big, early snow year and they sell out, there will be deals. Poo learned they underestimated demand for the 11 pros, which were sold out early in 11. They won't make that mistake again, unless we get really good snow. Just the way it works, got to get the dealers cleared out so they can order 17s.

……..
Its a two edged sword.
Buy snowcheck and sell the old sled early in the season.
Get more money for it.
Pay more for the new.

Buy later in the year, pay less and get less for the old sled.

I think resale is directly tied to the massive amount of pro rmk's sold in 11,12 and 13.

Probably 6 out of ten sleds i see out riding are pro rmk's.

I decided not to even ask when I was at the dealer yesterday. Depends on what I can get for my '14.... I too would love a 163 Axys but not for 13k+.

I know the dealers are not going to want my trade, they have new 14s and 15s to sell. If I can get 7500-8000 for my sled and find an Axys under $12k, I would probably pull the trigger. I am more than will to wait until X-Mas too. Never enough snow here to ride then anyway.

I just paid $12483.00 plus taxes and got a 3 year warranty that polaris is offering this month! It is a 163 with a raw tunnel. I even traded my 14 pro rmk 163 in with no warranty and they gave me $8000 for it and saves me $560 in taxes, so I traded for $4483 plus $313.81 in taxes and got the three year extended warranty, I could be happier! This is one amazing sled!

Let me know where you found a deal like that. I was offered $6000 for my '14 and a '16 155 for $13,600...

Looks like I will sell the '14 and shop harder for a '16.

Can you even get a 3" track in-season this year? It's on the website, but I haven't seen any in showrooms.
