How often should the secondary spring be replaced (miles or hours or years)?

2010 M8, stock engine and springs.

while I don't think there is any official guide out there. IMO the clutches on the M's should be refreshed every 2500 miles or so.

If my sled had 2500 miles on it and no major clutch work has been done I would replace both primary and secondary clutch springs, send the secondary out for a new sleeve bushing, roller replacement, and a top to bottom inspection of the primary, possibly even full replacement of that. these sleds are pretty tough on clutches and its important to stay on top of it or performance will suffer heavily

Depends on the brand of spring, but every 2000-2500 miles is a good rule of thumb.
