ok need some input on getting a deck.

My truck is a 05 Ford SD with 35" winter tires and 6" of lift, the bed rail height is 60"

how how long of a ramp do i need to get a 10 or 12ft?

the dealer has lots of 10ft ramps, but i will have to wait for a 12ft. Will i hate using a 10ft ramp?

I really like my 12 footer. Its on a completely stock 04 Duramax that sits pretty low so I dont need it by any means but it just makes it that much nicer. On your taller vehicle I think you are getting closer to maybe needing it but you could still get away with a 10 ft as well.

My truck and deck - 02 F-350 stock height with 33s

54" to beavertail, 56" to bed rail, 63 inches to top of decking....

I have an 8' ramp hooked up to my beavertail and that is as steep as I would ever want to go, but with 2 trips I am relatively comfortable with that steepness now.

Are you getting one with a beavertail or bobtail?

I think it just takes a few times to get used to your deck and you won't have a problem with the 10ft ramp. The 12ft ramp will make it a lot easier but I wouldn't say it is a make or break thing. I have an 8ft ramp on my F-350 on 35" with a 2" leveling kit. My neighbor has a 7ft ramp with a dove tail on his F-350 short bed, his truck is on 37's with a 6" lift. That ramp is steeper but still easy to use on once you get used to it.

I have loaded an 08 f250 with 35's and a leveling kit with airbags, so it sits fairly high, 8' ramp no tail. its pretty damn steep, but can be done safely, just need to be comforatable with it, so a 10' with a beaver tail would be nice for your setup... I have a stock height f250 and beaver with an 8' ramp is so gentle, if you park the arse end in a low spot its silly flat.
