I kind of stole this information from another thread but I figured it would be nice to transfer this to the Colorado area. Currently it is a requirement to have a sticker on the pump if Ethanol is over 2%:
http://www.fuel-testers.com/state_guide_ethanol_laws.html

If you are unsure or REALLY want to know you can order a test kit from $17.50-$24.95 (depending on how many you buy):
http://www.fuel-testers.com/order_ethanol_alcohol_fuel_test_kit.html
(get together with riders in your area and everyone throw in $5 and test your station!! Then report back here!)

Obviously I am do not guarantee any of these stations. I got my information from the website above. If one of these stations are going to be your primary stop, spend the money and get a test kit. If you KNOW of any other stations post them up or PM me and I will update and organize this post again. Do not assume that if there is no sticker, that there is no ethanol. Talk to the person who delivers the fuel, or orders it. Even then they might not know or might just straight out lie (which is why a test kit is always good). I have found when asking some clerks they have no idea what Ethanol or oxygenated fuel is, nor do they care. Here is the old thread for this section. I KNOW FOR A FACT that some of the stations listed on this old thread NOW have oxygenated fuel.

Something that might help is to go to these stations frequently. Get your diesel there as well and support them (buy snacks). Also let a manager or owner know that you are going to them because they sell non-oxygenated fuel and you will continue to do so as long as they continue to sell the fuel.

OLD THREAD (I cannot edit my posts anymore there)
http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147090&highlight=ethanol

I know the following stations in that thread should no longer be on there:
NOW SELL OXYGENATED FUEL
Eagle Sinclair
131 Chambers Ave
Eagle, CO 81631
(970) 328-1611

Edwards Shell Station, I-70 exit 163
434 Edwards Access Rd
Edwards, CO 81632

VAIL West Vail Shell, I-70 exit 173
2313 N Frontage Rd W
Vail, CO 81657
(970) 476-3394‎

BrightonAmerican Pride Co-Op
55 W Bromley Ln
Brighton, CO 80601
(303) 659-1230

Fort Collins Team Petroleum
105 E Lincoln Ave
Fort Collins, CO 80524
(970) 482-2533

Brighton American Pride Co-Op and Fort Collins Team Petroleum both sell Race Fuel (unsure of octane rating)

Something to consider is that Northern Colorado (Weld, Larimer particularly) are joining the Denver Metro Air board or whatever it is called. Emmissions testing will now be required for all vehicles and you can probably bet that many stations will be carrying oxygenated fuel. So again CHECK/TEST your fuel source.

There is a cheaper and easier ethonal test kit out there. It requires only a small amount of water and a hand to shake the gas and water mix. The tool only costs about $7, and it is acurate enough that Mercury Marine recommends it as a tool to have.

*Only 91oct is non-ethanol at this station

Most stations in WY (especially Laramie) are non-ethanol

I get 55gal drums of Sunoco race fuel drop shipped to my door step from Hill Petroleum in Greeley. Sunoco has many different grades/octane ratings of race fuel. There is a station in Arvada as well

how much to get VP to your door, im looking for around 108 octane or better? Bandimere will sell you 55 gallons of 110 octane for about $380, at least that what it was last year.

About that same price, but I'm using 104 unleaded. Their leaded fuel might be cheaper. And they do deliver it to you promptly which is nice.

For race fuel, Bandimere sells sunoco fuels cheaper than anyone else I've seen & much cheaper than getting it shipped to you. I get 112 from them for $6 & change. I figure they're likely the freshest place to get it from as well.

All of them? Even the station that had the huge sign up?

THX

I talked with the owner of the Shell that HAD the huge sign up in Idaho Springs. Very nice guy, but he is no longer able to get fuel without ethanol.
In fact he said his distributor claimed it was illegal to deliver non-ethanol fuels in Colorado???

So as of now it appears there is No place in the "Ho" to get good gas.

I stopped by today and talked with him as well. Nice guy. He said he was talking about bringing fuel in from Wyoming. He was told that would be illegal.

Sad, it almost sounds like all of our fuel will be oxygenated now. I'll keep updating this thread until we are out.

It would be nice to get one of our Representatives to put a bill forward in Colorado that would allow fuel stations to cell non-oxygenated fuel for "off-road/Off-highway" use only. I know that would take lot of strings to pull but it would be nice.

I'm going to look into the law itself. Strange that the law JUST changed. That stuff usually happens Jan 1st of whatever year.

I wonder if the Idaho Springs guy was told that by his fuel distributor in order to keep him as a customer. :face-icon-small-dis
