Looking for opinions on rear arm length and how effects handling, turning on side, sidehilling, steering, etc. Mostly interested in what people have done with their M series sleds. From looking at parts sights I see the HCR has the #1704-001 but other models are different - other M8's, sno pro. Thanks.

The HCR isnt the only sled that uses that arm. All the 04 mountain cat models and the 06 king cat use that arm. It is shorter than the other arm. I had a 04 mountain cat 900 and a 04 king cat 900. I could never get the king to handle like the mountain cat. After i noticed this difference I changed the arm on the king to the shorter arm. Sled handled like a dream after that. It was much easier to get it on its side with the shorter arm. I have no idea what it would do on the M chassis. Although I wouldn't mind trying it on my M and see.
