Showcase your g4 builds! Just got started on mine last night. Got it all stripped down and ready for p coat. Nothing crazy for mods like some of you crazy bastids!

-Specialty can
-slp Mohawk skis
-cfr bar set up
-p coat and decalling

To be honest ,it doesn't need much !

Post your builds up!

Less down time is a good mod.

NICE sled !!

IMO... to keep the rails from blowing out... a cross brace in the mid rear would be helpful.

Some "rail window" inserts would be needed to allow the brace to be installed... simple to fab. (maybe IceAge will have a kit for this??)

Are you going with a CFR risers as well or did you order the 7/8 to 1.5 adapter that they sell?
I ordered a CFR boondocker 2.0 bar and ODI grips w/ 5" RSI riser. Stock riser is sweet but too bad it's 7/8 clamp.

Just the adapter for the height is perfect for me already. Pink 2.0 boondockers are the shiat!

What you doing to the skid? I'm trying to figure out what to run in mine. I have a Tom's kit I could take of my XM, but also want to try it with no t-motion.

Could you elaborate on this modification?

For the front section of the rails I used a stock XM rail brace kit. I lathed down the center support rod so I could put the rail braces on the inside of the frame rails (just for cosmetics)

For the rear section of the rail I cut down xm rail braces at the point where the rails tip up. Machined a couple of diamond "window" inserts. The larger diamond window inserts were from a scissor relocation kit that my buddy had lying around. lathed some support rods and used 10mm x 40mm hardware.

Still working on what I am going to do for the bump stops, As the xm ones that come with the rail brace kit do not fit the G4.

Looks like Ice age will have that covered

Just got an email back from Brock at IceAge...

They will have the rail brace with cross shafts available here very soon.

AND

Rails, straight (not tipped up in the rear) rails that are lighter than the "Bomber" rails and only slightly heavier than the stock G4 rails....

Claimed to stronger than stock... and easy to see how that is possible when you compare the two.

.

Here us what we are building here at ZRP.
Adds a rear cross shaft and allows the use of our Zmotion 3/4" offset rear link.
The next batch we build will be for use without the Zmotion link. and will go for $130.
