For some reason my backhoe draws the battery down over a few days, and then other times not at all. I was thinking about a inline disconnect. I saw one at NAPA but I didn't like the looks of it. Any ideas?

Might want to look into the alternator. Pretty common battery drain when there is a bad diode in the rectifier.

Batter disconnect are great, We have them on almost all of our heavy equipmet.

The surface mount battery switches from Blue Sea are super high quality and marine rated/sealed.

Just the on/off with knob is fine and inexpensive...but super high quality and compact.
You will need a flat surface to securely mount it to.
Looks like you could bolt a tab off the loader-mount for that.

I also concur with blue sea system manual battery switches. Its all I use on my RV with 3 individually switched battery banks charged by my roof mounted solar.
Other smaller switches failed from vibration soon after install.
