Hey guys I got a 16 pro with a silber turbo sled had been running great yesterday was out riding and at about 6500rpm the sled falls right on its face. It feels like the spark cuts out. Runs fine on low rpm and mid throttle but once I stab the throttle it craps out and will die if held, I tried spare relays on the mountain and that did not help I’m scratching my head on this one any thoughts or help would be appreciated thanks!

I have been gapping them to .020 I did swap plugs 2 days ago can’t remember if they were gapped properly I will double check, could a regular spark plug crap out on 2 days of riding?

I just had issues with blowing out my spark with them not gapped tightly. Might be barking up the wrong tree in your case though.

Had the same thing happen to me. Anything over 6-7 thou rpm it would cut out when you punched it. Somehow a piece of wood went thru the side panel at the shock tower plug and snapped off the MAP sensor.Could be your map sensor maybe?

How is it idling? How many miles? Long shot but have you cleaned your exhaust valves? Do you have any video?

Its doubtful your spark is blowing out that low. Plenty of people forget to gap their plugs down and the sled still runs pretty much okay less WOT over 8000 RPM.

What elevation?
Boost Level?
Clutching?
Miles on boost?
Fuel Mode?
Fuel type?
Does it bog, Pop or just cut out?

I am riding at 4-6500 ft
10 l Av gas
5 psi spring
Indy Dan clutching with 73 grams
730 miles
Pro ride motor mounts
Sled is a 16 that I bought brand new that was a hold over this season

I tried running the sled again today it would bog at 7200rpm and stay there, if i punch it from a stand still it will just die,I changed the plugs which looked fine and swapped I new belt on along with relays still no bueno

I’m going to check fuel pressure today I believeit’s suppose to be 58-60 psi I suspect maybe a poor fuel pump? A bad tss i don’t think would’ve the culprit

Also only 350 boosted miles one sled no poping it just falls on it’s face and holds 7200rpm almost sounds like running on one cylinder it runs great at idle at about 1850 rpm but once there is a demand for fuel it’s bogs up and holds 7200 it was pulling 8350 rpm all day before this happened

Yeah I was beginning to wonder the same thing. Only odd thing is the sled dying.
For me in December the whole exhaust pendulum snapped off but the cable was good. I could pin it and it wouldn't go past 7400 RPMS but would idle fine. My sled wouldn't die though.

Ahhhhh I missed the sled dieing. I saw the RPM and it threw up a light.

Maybe a throttle safety or tps issue?

Motor dying could still be exhaust valve related (I was going to say relay's in this case)

If you hold the throttle wide open with exhaust valves closed, you'll eventually drown the motor out in fuel=engine dying.

Check or replace your relay's. Then report back.

So finally found out the issue I talked to my dealer seeing if they pulled the exhaust valves out and checked them they said they only tested them on digital wrench I pulled them out. The T that connects the EV cable to each valve broke so only one valve was beekng
Opened! Thanks for all the input fellas all of it was appreciated
