I'd like to hear more info as well, I'd think that something along the lines of the older CR 500's would rip big time with a snow bike kit on it.

Overall RPM torque curve is better on snow with the late model 4strokes. Although a CR500 would be a kick in the asz to ride on the snow with a MONSTER sized desert tank and a buddy packing plenty of extra fuel!

i have a set on my kx250, its fun but definatly could use some more power. my 2 buddies, one with a 03kx500 and the other with a 09 ktm sx505. the 505 has alot of torque, but it just doesnt compair to the raw brutal bone eating power of the old kx500, the thing just tractors around everywhere.

I rode a KX500 last year at the Hawk fest. I own a 530 KTM. All I know is I wanted off the KX500 and back on to my bike. The 4 strokes just make more tourque and are alot funner to ride. Just my opinion. The 500 did feel lighter though. Track spin was a issue. The thing would just blow the track off and go no where. I suppose I could have gotten use to it. But I already had a bike that worked excellent.
