OK, SINCE THE OLD POLL KEPT THE POSTERS HIDDEN, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO VOTED AND IF THEY EVEN OWNED A PRO...SO PLEASE REVOTE, I WILL FOLLOW THE SAME POLL THAT BCIL HAS IN THE CAT SECTION SO WE ARE COMPARING APPLES TO APPLES..THANKS sorry for yelling...just worried you wernt hearing me very good...

Just brought to my attention..this poll is for 800cc motors only..

if you click on the hyperlinked number of voters it shows the names.

I voted no failures 0-1000 for my 2012 RMK (620ish miles)

also, wish I could vote: no failures 1000-2000 for my dad's 2011 RMK (1800ish miles)

FWIW, a version of the CFI-2 was first intro'ed in the 600's before 2011, think it was 2008 or so, then it went back to the CFI-4 in the 600's, then back again to the CFI-2 in the 600's. Which brings the point - it looks like MY12 600 Pro owners will get mixed into the poll, which may influence the results further. Sorry, not trying to make to this more complex...

0 failures on mine at 1,380 miles. 2011 snowcheck 163" 800. Never messed with the oil pump, although I do add a little oil to the fuel everytime.

For some variables: VES gold, quasi-proper break in, ridden fairly hard since, ridden 2-up with my girlfriend fairly often, towed out a couple sleds. Sled has never been overheated.

Zero problem on my 2011 800, still runnning strong on first set of pistons....3000km(approx 2000miles)

Have run SLP pipe, and PAR 12.5 head with mapped PCV for the last 1000km.

Just voted in the 0-1000.

1005 miles. First year 650 miles bone stock. This year, the rest of the miles, with 3 turns on the oil screw and a PAR head. No problems so far.

--Cat poll goes back to 2010 800cc model year

It's all good, even giving the poo motor a year advantage, I know it'll end up being at least double the cat, minimum.

I just wanted to compare current motor to current motor.

If it were up to me, I'd take piston skirts out of the equation for both sleds with pistons over 2000 miles as well... I just don't feel a high performance piston should run that long.(though many do, I just prefer to change them sooner than that) I feel the laydown motor with the Front in & out stresses the piston more than most also.

So how do you list multiple engine failures?

People with multiple good running sleds can only vote once too so that somewhat evens out?
BCIL why don't you just be the first one to dump the cat engine in the pro chassis??? It's the only way you are going to be happy and you know it!
