I know that polaris hasnt really tired the performance 4 stroke yet but what do you guys think of this? 110hp nonturbo 144hp turbo. And we all know that with a simple programmer and mild mods that could be 180 on pump gas too. If a nitro motor can fit I bet a rzr 1000 motor would be easily doable.

Im just not sure in anyone else had these thoughts too?

Here is the motor http://www.prcforum.com/forum/179-2014-polaris-rangers-rzrs/50674-prostar-1000-engine-pictures.html

It would be a tight as probably not possible fit. It is a much taller engine with a dohc top end on it. I just don't think that they could shoehorn one into the Axys chassis.

If ppl are going to put a 4 stroke motors out a yamahas into a polaris why not just use a polaris motor? I dont feel you would be ruining a good sled since polaris hasnt had the best track record with there 800s.... I feel the pro could be one of the best sleds to ride but they do need a longer lasting reliable power plant.

That would be interesting! But as said pretty tall motor. The center of gravity would change the handling a bit. Are the Yamys a better fit? It would be interesting to compare the dimensions. That internet track record has not caught up with me yet. Had an 11 PRO 800, still have a 12 and 13 PRO 800. The 12 had a bad TPS, otherwise zero motor, belt or glue problems. New Axys 800 in the garage also, waiting for snow.:face-icon-small-coo

I think a cfi 800 motor at 150 hp would be more reliable and go/handle much better than a xp1k motor at 180 hp.

Seen a lot of popped rzr motors on boost.
Centrifugal weight would kill the chassis's agility.
Just guessing that Total weight gain would be in the 30# range before turbo.

Might as well ride a skidoo.
Similar water buffalo feel.
