Looking at mounting one of these units on my bars, was wondering if anyone has used one and how good the GPS actually works?

I have one and am trying it out this winter! I am told there is a way to get the garmin maps in to it using a third party software called babel but havent tried it yet! Still trying to figure out what base maps in the device?and how up to date it is?

I use it on my dual sport. Works great for mapping existing trail and finding your way back to the trail or truck. Putting it on my sled this year also. GPS works good but they make an external antenna also.
