Look im not on any side. Iv loved cats my whole life but you have to look at the facts. The RMK pro could be a better bet. Riding one is somewhat comparable to riding a dirt bike. Yes I'v rode one. Weight is a huge deal when you are in the steep and deep and so is design. Look at a pro, Its nimble and front on view looks somewhat like a triangle. Look at the new cats anyone one of them and they are fat. Nimble helps in the trees and it helps in the pow. Lets just say less drag and tighter maneuverability between trees.

You want to talk about lower horsepower? Look at the M7 when it came out. 130 hp. Everyone dogged it then and was mad because there was no 800 untill they couldnt beat it on the hill. Then they wanted one.

Scuba your bash with diesel trucks makes no sence. You just cant compare a diesel to a gas any day. Besides diesels arn't about horsepower they're about toque.

blackcat I dont think you know what the hell you're talking about. Weight does matter and you would know that if you've ever been in the deep

Take your polaris and stay in your own forum I personaly think your an idiot if u cant lift a few extra pounds when stuck ur just a pu$$

And don't be fooled by hp #'s cuz it takes alot more than a 170hp to out do a PRO... And if you can really ride it will take a turbo to over come a PRO...

Please...you expect anyone to believe this bunk. I run around 180hp and no stock Pro even comes close so try to keep it real.....

From my extensive time studying the pics on this forum, I can say without a doubt, that the new Arctic Cats will be terrible. And I have a degree in "Picture Studying" form the university of "I Spend Too Much Time Talking Out My A.S.S" so there's not even any need to actually ride them. Boo to AC for introducing a complete new line up without first consulting with ever dumb schmuck on this forum that probable couldn't ride their way out of wet paper bag.

Lets all get on the hater train.

HAHAHA LOVE IT... Sounds to me like the PRO riders are a little nervous.. haha we will see i guess..

I can't believe all the negative comments on a machine that only a few have seen in the flesh. If those people think that this cat will not run with other manufactures, guess again. I'm sure Arctic Cat had all the other sleds to compare this new machine against. It will be a very interesting winter of 2012

I am excited. Would be cool to see how much additional weight a belt drive shaves off.

Joining the engine and jackshaft bearing together is going to be huge. The motor mounts can probably be a lot softer now that they dont have to hold the motor square to the clutch. Less vibration...Longer belt life, more accurate clutching. There is a $%#&list of advancements that this sled is making, stuff the other guys will be copying and trying to catch up to.

Bravo for them to release not only new mountain sleds but new trail sleds in the same year. way to go guys, hope to be riding one this winter.

from the snowest article about the new cats...

2012 M800 Sno Pro is same weight as 2011 M8 Sno Pro.

Now THAT is a letdown.

How would you build a new chassis, and not take weight off???

hoping it's a typo, but if not, big bummer.

Also think the new 1100T is badaZZ. A sled that weighs about 30 lbs over an M1000, but already has a turbo, so with just a controller you can crank it WAY up... kudos, THAT is a big step imo. (assuming it WORKS on the snow)

twin cyl big bore 4 stroke btw... what many of us have been saying for a while, a good way to go.

No weights.... We all know the reason they aren't posted. We wanted a light sled. Not a mountain abortion! Has arctic cat not listened to the riders? We have been waiting patiently. I've bought a new cat every year since 05. Tomorrow I order my Pro!!!!! Kinda mad I waited all year only to be let down by a company that did not listen.

yeah we all do know they reason they didnt post weights they never do right out of the box glad you canthe weight of those sleds from looking at picture of a sled that isnt in production yet!

Try reading it in an overly sarcastic tone. See it yet? No?

Okay, well he basically made fun of all the bandwagon cat "fans" who immediately decided that the Proclimb will not be a performer. (Can't believe I actually just had to explain that? Cmon guys.... let's not take everything so seriously)

kind of sad realy guy finaly has a sled that can keep up to a 6yr old m7 and thinks he concord the world.but you can see where he is coming from kind of like a guy with um we will call them issues then gets some viagra thinks he is John Holms.same thing he has been way under performing for 6yrs and finaly can hang with a m7 of corse he thinks he won the loto.just wate the boys at cat would not wast ther time puting out somthing that was not substantaly better than what they had and remember what they had 6yrs ago is as good as a new poo.kind of sad.I have spent the last few hrs reading ride reports from diff sites and all the editors have nothing but good things to say.

Here are the weights in metric.

Step 1 open file.

Step 2 select kg weight under sled you want.

Step 3 multiply by 2.2 for old school pounds.

Step 4 scream and cry if you love 2 strokes, smile if you were about ready to jump ship to Yamaha.

This thread has some of the most idiotic posts in it I have ever read on the Internet. I wonder how many of you will back track on your opinions of the new chassis when someone actually gets one off of the computer screen and onto the snow.

And for Christ sakes, learn how to spell people.
