Summit Freeride updates/fixes

I'm thinking hard about buying a Summit Freeride to replace my 09 Polaris Assault since it has been nothing but a headache. I have a 2008 800R XP that has been a great trail sled. Are there any updates/flashes or things I would need to fix on the Freeride before heading to Cooke City? Are most 800 Etechs problem free?
