Sled won't shut off!

So I have a 2003 edge x 700, and I just finished putting the air box back on, so I ran it. Well it wouldn't shut off I hit the kill switch pulled the key, and pulled the tether! I just turned the gas off and ran it out. So I am thinking it is wiring but I don't know where to start! Thanks guys.

Ya, I do have insurance, and I would get next to none. I think it's a great idea though!

Look for a single Blk/wht or just black wire at your motor stator harness sounds like that wire got cut or unplugged.

As sledhooligan said. Completing the black(with white stripe)-brown wire circuit is what kills the signal to the CDI. If the black wire is cut you can't complete the circuit, and it won't shut off.
Don't plow your sled into a tree. Try some diagnostics, sleds are not very complex and insurance is slow.
